HAPPYRON AND FRIENDS NOMINATED FOR SAN DIEGO MUSIC AWARD!

HappyRon’s album Terribly Happy was nominated for the 2009 San Diego Music Award for Best Local Recording, along with seven others. The award is for the best recording made in the San Diego area during the previous year. Of all the categories this is probably the favorite one to be nominated in cause it brings attention to my producer and the 24 others who contributed to the making of this album, including musicians, singers, co-writers, and my photographer.
The announcements were made on Tim Pyle’s radio show live at The Cashah. I happened to be there and was shocked when they said they were going to announce the winners. I spent the next two hours being a nervous wreck and made so much noise when I got nominated that Tim interviewed me right there on the spot. Wish I got that on tape.
The awards show is at Viejas Casino on September 10th. Details at link below:

Great Times I just saw Steve Poltz at Anthology and again he pointed me out to the crowd and again he invited me up to sing on stage.   We sang “Dick’s Automotive”, towards the end he went out front and got the audience to sing “Mommie Deer, DEAD!  Baby Deer, ALIVE!” we me leading the audience from the mike.  Great times! I got the whole thing on audio
